The Rust‑Oleum 366428 Engine Enamel Spray Paint, 11 oz, Aluminum is a ceramic-enhanced, oil-based aerosol coating designed for automotive engines and other metal components exposed to intermittent heat. Ideal for engine blocks, valve covers, manifolds, and other parts reaching up to 600 °F (315 °C), this enamel delivers a smooth, durable, high-gloss finish with superior protection.

APPLICATION TIPS

  • Surface Preparation
    Remove loose paint, rust, oil, and grease. Lightly scuff smooth surfaces with sandpaper and clean thoroughly.
  • Shake the Can
    Shake vigorously for at least 1 minute after the mixing ball rattles. Shake periodically during use .
  • Spray Technique
    Hold can 10–16 inches from the surface. Apply multiple light, even coats in a steady, overlapping motion .
  • Drying & Recoat
    Dries to touch in about 20 minutes; fully cured in 24 hours. Recoat any time after initial dry without sanding. For best protection, let parts cool completely before exposure to heat cycles.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Flammability: Highly flammable aerosol—use only in well‑ventilated areas and away from heat, sparks, open flames, or hot surfaces.
  • Ventilation & Protection: Wear respiratory, eye, and skin protection to avoid inhaling vapors or contact with skin.
  • Cleanup & Storage: Invert can and spray for 2 seconds after use to clear nozzle. Clean overspray with mineral spirits or acetone. Store below 120 °F and dispose of according to local regulations.
